In the play Romeo and Juliet they portrays God, or, Fate, as the controller of events throughout the play, as Shakespeare is catholic himself, so he will (by faith) put God into his plays.
The first point is that Shakespeare uses metaphorical terms to support his portrayal of God, i.e ”He who hath the steerage of my course, direct my sail!!”- Romeo.
Another point is that most characters make quotes about God, i.e Romeo says ”I fear too early, for my mind misgives
Some consequence, yet hanging in the stars…”
In the play the time passes according to the apparent mood of God, usually when somethin bad happens time passes quickly because it always approaches night time.

What is good about this piece, Enrico is that the ideas are fresh and original – you have a personal grasp of fate in the play and how the idea is developed.
To write effectively in the essay, you will need to formalise your language a lot – ensuring that your point is always stated with clarity, and then the examples and explanations thereof are incorporated without making the reader have to concentrate too hard.
The idea of the weather and atmosphere reflecting the presence of God is called the “Pathetic Fallacy”. Shakespeare suggests that when there is something happening against God’s will (or the natural order) the consequence is an increase in chaos in the natural world.
When you mention a metaphor – you must expand on it and explain what it means. In this case it means explaining how Romeo is likening himself to a vessel like a ship that is being captained by God himself.
